Button Baby Keepsake Box

What a fun project this was! I used a 3 inch Maya Road Keepsake Cube to make a cute little box for a baby boy. The lid can be opened by untieing the ribbon and opening the top. I was thinking it would be a cute place to stash those matching mom/baby hospital bracelets, or maybe a lock of hair.

The papers and ribbon are from American Crafts and the
stamps are from Clear Artistic Stamps Tiny Button Baby set. I glued on a bunch of buttons from my stash to add dimension.
P.S. My peonies are blooming!

Back Among the Living!

Well, I'm starting to get enough energy back to do some crafting after being sick for way too long! Can you imagine? Too weak to make cards! It seems impossible, but oh so true.

At Clear Artistic Stamps, I checked out the May Layout and made this card using the sketch.

The flowers are made of chipboard that I colored with markers and outlined with a clear gelly roll pen. Making flowers is just so fun! The sentiment is from the Hop Into Spring set, which happens to be on clearance right now.

Clear Artistic Stamps also has a Yahoo Group that you can access here. There are challenges to have fun with, and you can be in contact with people who also love to stamp, including the design team. Check it out!

Not Much Happenin'

Sorry about the quietness here lately! Well, you know how your Mom always said, "Don't go outside with wet hair or you will catch your death of pneumonia!" OK, turns out she was right. I've been fighting bronchitis and pneumonia for the last 10 days or so and am still not up to speed. Needless to say I haven't even looked at my craft table or sewing machine lately. All I want to do is sleep. My hubby is being SuperDad and handling absolutely everything so I can rest. Hopefully I will be better very soon. So don't give up on me yet. I have lots of creating to get caught up on!

Slumber Party

In a fit of temporary insanity, we decided to give our daughter a slumber party for her birthday. We've invited 9 girls, so with the birthday girl and her sister we will have 11 girls giggling all night in our family room next Friday night. It's a "sing and dance" party so I ordered disco decorations and my husband burnt a special cd of dance music for the occasion.

Here is the invitation I sent. The singing cat and music backgrounder are from CHF, and the swirls backgrounder is from Stampabilities. I printed the inside of the invitation in dark red ink, mainly so I wouldn't have to write it out 9 times!
